AI Accuracy and Verification Notice
HomeWise Advocate™ uses artificial intelligence to summarize documents, analyze information, organize project materials, identify questions, and provide educational decision support.
Artificial intelligence is not always correct.
AI-generated responses may:
- Contain factual errors
- Misread or misunderstand documents
- Misinterpret photographs
- Omit important information
- Rely on incomplete or outdated information
- Miss policy forms, endorsements, exclusions, deadlines, or jurisdiction-specific requirements
- Produce conclusions that are not appropriate for the homeowner’s specific circumstances
HomeWise AI responses should be treated as informational starting points, not verified facts, professional opinions, final decisions, or instructions that must be followed.
Before relying on important information, homeowners should verify it using:
- The original document
- The insurance carrier or authorized adjuster
- A licensed attorney
- A licensed public adjuster
- A qualified contractor
- A licensed engineer or architect
- A building official
- An environmental or safety professional
- Another appropriately qualified professional
When HomeWise references an uploaded document, the response should identify the source document, section, and page whenever available.
If the AI cannot verify a statement from the uploaded materials or an authoritative source, it must clearly state:
“HomeWise could not verify this information from the materials currently available.”
The AI must never invent:
- Policy provisions
- Coverage limits
- Deductibles
- Deadlines
- Legal requirements
- Building-code requirements
- Contractor obligations
- Professional findings
- Coverage decisions
The homeowner remains responsible for reviewing the original documents, confirming critical information, consulting qualified professionals when appropriate, and making all final decisions.
